Our Mission...

Devotion to community education and service

The Gardeners of the Grove (GOTG) is a 501(c)(3) exempt educational and community service organization (EIN 26–1417494).  The funds we raise support our community service projects: The Franklin Elementary School After School Garden Club, The Monterey Trail High School Memorial Garden Project, The GOTG’s Elk Grove House and Stage Stop Museum Landscaping Project, The Elk Grove Community Garden, Kids Growing Strong (a program promoting gardening, healthy living and learning among children), and The Elk Grove Food Bank.

Club Profile

The Gardeners of the Grove is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organized in October of 2007 under the umbrella of the National Garden Club Inc., Pacific Region of National Garden Club, Inc, California Garden Clubs, Inc. and is a member of the Sacramento River Valley District of California Garden Clubs, Inc.  The club currently consists of 45 active members.  Most of our members are novice gardeners who love to putter in the garden and have an interest in learning, sharing and receiving gardening advice from expert speakers, many of whom are master gardeners. Some of our members raise fresh organic vegetables in the Elk Grove Community Garden  for personal use as well as donating and contributing to our local food bank, the Elk Grove Community Assistance Network.  Members also participate in a variety of other garden and gardening related projects.  We welcome anyone who loves nature, the beauty of gardens and is curious about things that grow and has an interest in serving their community.
